ACTIVITIES
Enjoy the best of both worlds!
Set up camp in the luxurious forest with the river shoreline only a few steps away while you enjoy the forest surrounds or access to the nature reserve nearby.
FISHING
With the river only a few steps away and Woodgate Beach around the corner, there are plenty of opportunities to catch the big one! The Burrum River system holds good stocks of fish and crabs in all areas and is known for Whiting, Flathead, Bream, Mangrove Jack and more. See the fishing map below for more information.
BOAT RAMP ACCESS
Launch your boat or Jet Ski on the nearby boat ramp at Walker's Point for easy deep water access to both the open ocean and Fraser Island. Charter boats frequent the area for whale watching and fishing alike. The boat ramp is a two-lane concrete ramp with all tide access. It's also a good night fishing spot.
WALKING TRACKS AND HIKING
Enjoy a variety of picturesque hiking opportunities both on our campground as well as the nature reserve right next door. Or if you prefer a stroll on the sandy river shore or a walk on nearby Woodgate beach, you'd be spoilt for choice. See the link below for different walking tracks in Burrum Coast National Park.
